LB 6021 AG is a hydraulic fluid with a high viscosity index, classified as HFC according to ISO 6743-4.
LB 6021 AG is particularly suitable for hydraulic circuits locatedvery close to sources of heat, thanks to its fire-resistance properties. LB 6021 AG can be used as such as hydraulic fluid in all situations of potential fire risk (heat sources, incandescent metal, open flame). It is to be used every time safety is a priority against the dangers of fire, and at the same time it ensures high performances in hydraulic controls thanks to its durability, strength and lubrication. It is used primarily as a water-glycol safety fluid in oleodynamic controls and in plants for: steelwork (ovens-casting-rolling-manipulators), mining (drill rigs-trucks), foundries (castingsfurnaces-coreshooters), transport (ship-handling-military vehicles), glass (oven-moulders). In particular, it is used in hydraulic circuits of die casting and foundry industry: presses for die casting, ovens, shear, low pressure, casting in severity. LB 6021 AG is compatible with the most common elastomers used in hydraulic circuits (NBR, Viton, Teflon, etc). LB 6021 AG can be used in contact with steel, copper, brass, anodized aluminium.
The corrosion inhibitors additives in vapor phase protect against corrosion all parts of the circuit not directly contacting with the fluid. LB 6021 AG is miscible and compatible with other fluids of the same chemical nature (HFC), on which it can be topped up (in this case, an analysis of the operating fluid to verify the compatibility and the chemical-physical conditions is recommended).
